How to Convert PDF Files to Text Files

Portable Document Format or PDF is the most common format to share documents nowadays. Sometimes we need to extract text from PDF files to use it in other applications. One way to do this is to retype the whole document in notepad and the other way is to use a freeware tool to convert PDF file to text file. The other method is far better than the first method.

Here is a free utility A-PDF Text Extractor which enable you to extract text from your PDF files for use in other applications. It can covert PDF file to text file in just one click. You just need to browse the file and click on Extract text button. The conversion process is fast and easy. This freeware utility don’t require Adobe Acrobat Reader.

However, the following conditions must be fulfilled in order to extract text from PDF files:

  • The file is formatted to contain text and not just images.
  • The file contains no security restrictions which disable text selecting.
