How To Show Summary of Content to Feedburner Email Subscribers

by Simrandeep Singh on January 16, 2009

If you are subscribed to email updates (feeds) of some websites, then you might have seen that some publishers are showing only a summary of their content in feeds. To view the full post, you need to visit their website. If you own a blog/website, you can also offer your subscribers a short summary of your posts.

I think it’s a good feature as it will increase your page views. People will visit your website to view the full post. You can easily activate this feature. Just follow the steps below :

How to show summary of content to email subscribers

  • Sign in to your feedburner account and move on to Optimize tab.
  • Now look for Summary Burner under Optimize tab and click on it.
  • When you open Summary Burner, you can set maximum length of characters and you can also paste a teaser. After this click on Activate to activate this feature.

That’s all. Now your subscribers will also see a short summary of your posts.
