Ways To Withdraw Funds From PayPal To India

by Simrandeep Singh on February 11, 2010

Almost all of the Indian PayPal users are now aware of the PayPal fiasco in India. From the past few days there have been issues between PayPal and Indian users. The users who requested to withdraw the money from their PayPal accounts to bank accounts are now receiving the funds back in their PayPal accounts. Even the money that was deducted while withdrawing funds is also refunded back into the accounts. But it’s still not confirmed when this withdrawal problem will be fixed.

I contact the PayPal team to confirm when these issues will be fixed and got the following reply :

We are currently experiencing an issue processing bank transfers to India bank accounts. I sincerely regret the inconvenience it has caused you.  As a result there may be some delays in both withdrawals and random deposits.  We are doing everything we can to process your  withdrawal as soon a possible; however, we do not have a specific timeframe to share at this time.

I suggest not to withdraw money directly to your bank accounts until all these issues are fixed. However if you want to withdraw the money you can use the following two methods :

  • Withdraw funds by requesting a check :
    1. Go to the PayPal website and log in to your account.
    2. Click “Withdraw.”
    3. Click the “Request a check from PayPal” link.
    4. Enter the required information.
    5. Click “Continue.”
  • Withdraw funds to a credit card :
    1. Go to the PayPal website and log in to your account.
    2. Click “Withdraw.”
    3. Click the “Withdraw funds to your card” link.
    4. Enter the required information.
    5. Click “Continue.”

Please Note :

* Members in Argentina, Brazil, Bulgaria, Chile, Cyprus, Estonia, Gibraltar, Iceland, India, Indonesia, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Philippines, Romania, San Marino, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, and Uruguay, can withdraw funds to credit cards that are withdraw eligible. Allow 5-7 business days for your funds to post to your card, depending on your bank’s policies.
* Members in the U.S., Argentina, Brazil, Chile, China, Ecuador, India, Jamaica, and Uruguay can request a check. Allow 4-6 business days for your check to be processed and mailed.
* All members can withdraw funds to a U.S. bank account. Your money should become available within 3-4 business days, depending on your bank’s policies.

If you have any other way to withdraw funds easily, please share it with comments :)

Such advice could be helpful for anyone who have some real problems with cash flow with paypal. Interesting conclusions there.

Although there are so many other options like Xoom, Payoneer, etc for Indians to withdraw amount from papal, requesting check is considered to be a best option. Thanks for the posting!!!
