Most of us always wonder how fast times passes by. A deadline missed or sometimes a total lack of time for an important activity. Here are some easy to follow helpful tips which would help you manage your time better and make sure that you don・t miss that deadline.

  1. Realize the significance of the work at hand. Today a large chunk of an individual・s time is eaten away by the internet, which has given to us chats, social networking and online gaming. Set a priority on your work and restrict the amount of time you spend on the net in order to finish the work and meet the deadline. Keeping a schedule also helps in managing time. A schedule always helps resolve a lot of problems, as you set aside time for work and other activities. A schedule will help you focus better at the work at hand. Set time aside for personal work and official work and observe the change.
  2. Realize that working at irregular or odd times never helps. Always work when you・re at your most active level of activity. This would help you finish work in time as your levels of concentration and presence of mind will be good. Sometimes when pushed to work for long hours taking breaks helps. By taking a short break your brain is able to refocus and do a better job. It has been proven by research that short bursts of activity are always more productive.
  3. Divide your work in segments and complete one at a time. And in doing so set limits. Make sure you finish the work in the stipulated time. Setting time limits is good but before setting a deadline know your limitations. Because there is no point setting deadlines without taking into account your own ability and potential to do that work.
  4. It is also important to be determined. Once you take a firm decision just stick to it till you don・t finish the job at hand. Many a times we let ourselves slack and this leads to wasting time. Though, this does not mean that one need not have fun. But fun time can be set apart and priority must be assigned to work. Determination is also necessary when it comes to avoid distractions as there are many in the environment around us, the internet, the television or the mobile phone to name just a few.

Most of the times, we feel that there are other works which affect the delay in completion of a task. Doing a few things together can always help. For example when studying use a break to drink water, check mails or any other small work. When these small things are done separately, they end up consuming a considerable amount of time. It is also necessary to keep reminding yourself of the work at hand. Put up post its, set reminders on your mobile phone or leave notes in order to remind yourself.

Doing all this would surely help you meet that deadline. But in doing all this you believe yourself and your ability to do work. Self belief is extremely important as it gives you that extra confidence to do the job. So just go ahead follow their very simple and easy tips and see how you become a master of your time rather than the time being your master.

I was not a big fan of all the Social media sites like FB, Twitter and all.

But since I started using it for my own blog it’s been the best place to promote on the web..
