Facebook has a very interesting feature called as “Lists” which most of you might not be aware of. Facebook allows you to create lists and group your friends in specific category. For an example you can create lists for Friends, Family, Bloggers etc. These lists allows you to filter your Facebook updates according to the specific category.
When Facebook redesigned its homepage, it changed some of its settings and in this tutorial I’ll explain you to create friend lists according to the new interface of Facebook.

Friend Lists provide organized groupings of your friends on Facebook. For example, you can create a Friend List for your friends that meet for weekly book club meetings. You can filter your view of each list’s stream of activity separately on the home page. Friend Lists are easy to manage and allow you to send messages and invites to these groups of people all at once.
How to Create a Friend List
Creating a friend list in Facebook is really an easy task. Just follow the steps given below to create a friend list in Facebook:
Step 1. First click on Friends in the left sidebar of your Facebook homepage and then on Edit friends button.
Step 2. Now you can see a Create a list button at the middle top. Click on this button.
Step 3. When you click on the Create a list button, a new window will pop up. Enter a name for the list and then search for the names that you want to include in the list. Select all the friends that you want to add in the list by clicking on their names.
Step 4. Click on Create list and you are done.
How to Filter Facebook Updates
Now you have learned how to create lists in Facebook. You can also delete friend lists on Facebook after you created some lists. You can now easily filter your updates. Just click on Friends link the left sidebar. It will open a new page. Now you can select any list from the left sidebar for which you want to see the updates.

How do we create a list where we can receive their updates but they can’t see ours?
Sorry I didn’t get you !! Can you pls explain your question ?
I add a lot of friends for game purposes. I don’t want these ppl to see my personal updates since i don’t really know them.
Is there a way to prevent them from seeing my status updates?
