I have always liked the idea behind Google labs and their innovative products, every now and then search giant releases an add-on or an improvement that eventually improves the way we search on the web. So today i will be reviewing another web search enhancing plug-in released by Google.
What is Google Related?
Google has released this plug-in for both Internet Explorer and Google Chrome and even have added this up in their Toolbar extension. What Google Related does is that it gives users more targeted information while they are searching and browsing the web. The extension becomes active automatically when you visit a site and its working is similar to the manual searches we do while using the internet daily.
To make it clearer, for example if you are reading a review about a PC or a tablet device the Google Related will become active instantly and will automatically show a pop-up panel that will be featuring direct links to movies, news pieces and images related to that product whose reviewing you are reading.
If you click movie links, the pop-up panel will show it right there and you don’t have to leave the page. Clicking on the content links will automatically open a new browser tab and Google’s social networking side is also there on Related with “+1” sign with each content link.
Usefulness of Google Related
It is quite evident that Google Related will be very useful whenever we will be shopping online or browsing businesses. It will substantially shave off the search time because it will be giving us additional information about anything in the form of video and links.
I think it will be more appropriate if Google Related was programmed not to pop-up automatically, rather it should be activated with a mouse-over action.
You can get more information about Google Related by visiting Google’s official page for the plug-in and you can also download it for free from there.
