In the last few months, releases of app installers have overtaken jailbreak utilities, with new ones being pushed out on a frequent basis. Jailbreak utilities have been sorely lacking with few that all of us can use is released. The app installers have stepped in to try and take over from Cydia, to provide us with some of what we are missing without a jailbreak. Sadly, most of them simply don’t offer enough to be competitive, preferring to concentrate on paid content for free rather than tweaks that we can use to customize our devices.
Cyrus Installer has changed all that. The latest release offers little in the way of non-jailbreak content with most of it being tweaks from Cydia. And not just the most common ones either; Cyrus includes a whole range of different tweaks and, because it offers support for iOS 7, iOS 8, iOS 9, iOS 10 and iOS 11, on all iOS devices, it is open to everyone to use. How to Download Cyrus Installer :
- Launch Safari browser for your iPhone or iPad home screen
- Go to the address bar, type in cyrusinstaller and tap GO
- Wait for the web page to fully load before tapping on the large UP arrow, top right or bottom center of the screen
- Now you will see new options on your screen; tap on the middle option for Add to Home Screen
- Next, you will be asked to give the app icon a name so type Cyrus in the box
- Tap on Add and then close down Safari, the Cyrus icon will be visible on the home screen
While Cyrus still isn’t as comprehensive as Cydia, it is the nearest we have to it.
