I have done a lot of research on hosting. You can still write to Jason of Dreamhost (or just anyone) and chances are they will give you the 777 discount. They wrote me a mail that they can accommodate me but I did not go. I am with Hostgator (3-year plan).
I am also with HostGator and I think their service is better than Dreamhost.
