A new version of the WordPress v3.1 “Reinhardt” has been released and it is available for download. You can either download it or update it from your dashboard. There are many new features in WordPress 3.1.
Admin Bar is one of the features which are added to latest WordPress 3.1. This admin bar is displayed to the users when they are logged in and visiting the site. It contains the links to various admin screens like Edit My Profile, Add New Post or Page, Edit Comments etc.
If you don’t want to show the Admin Bar on the WordPress front end when you are browsing through the pages then you can easily hide it.
How to Disable New Admin Bar
When you are logged in to your dashboard, go to Users -> Your Profile. In the profile page you can find Show Admin Bar. Uncheck when viewing site option and click on Update Profile button at the bottom to disable it.
Thanks, but after updating to WordPress 3.1, there is no admin bar, instead there is a blank space for it. Any idea about it?

Good tips. I don’t quite like the Admin bar too, it kind of blocks my view. 🙂
But, I really like the admin bar! Its useful I think!
The new admin bar looks good to me, shortcut to full blog post… i think it is a good addition, i also like the interlinking options in wp 3.1.
I don’t really think it is wise to use this plug on a site where people can not register ; you can disable the bar for you from the dashboard. Also this plug-in crashed almost 4 other plug-ins in my web-log.
disabling is very easy, thanks…
