In terms of features, iOS 11 has proven to be a big success and Apple is intent on not repeating failures of the past by keeping it well up to date. That has meant a flurry of updates to fix bugs quickly, bring new improvements and enhancements and, of course, the usual security enhancements. The latest from Apple is the iOS 11.2.1 download, released to fix some bugs on the iPhone 8 and iPhone X. This update may well be one more nail in the coffin for the jailbreak community as it is likely to push the chances of a jailbreak back even further.
So, when will we get an iOS 11.2.1 jailbreak ? That is something we can’t say at the moment, but we are hoping that something will be released soon. Although we haven’t heard anything from Taig, PP or Pangu jailbreaks since iOS 10 was released, that doesn’t mean that they have given up and they may well be working on something as we speak. We also have Yalu jailbreak, released for iOS 10, that may be updated with support for iOS 11.2.1, should Luca Todesco choose to do so and there is also the option of a jailbreak being released for iOS 10.3.x. The reason for this last one is that many bugs have been fixed in iOS 11 but there may still be some vulnerabilities left in the later iOS 10 versions and not everyone has been able to update their devices. Indeed, not everyone wanted to update to iOS 11 just in case an iOS 10 jailbreak was released.
