iOS 10 wasn’t too clever in terms of jailbreaks but there is a good chance that things may be about to change. MOSEC, the Mobile Security Conference, took place in Shanghai this year and we were given a peek at a possible new jailbreak. The utility is called k33n but pronounced as enen, and it was shown off by a team of developers that was fronted by the chief researcher for security at Alibaba and a developer from Tencent Keen Labs.

With the lack of jailbreaks available and with those that we do have only suitable for some users, it looks like Keen Jailbreak may well be the answer we have all been waiting for. With no communication from the regular jailbreak teams, like Pangu, Taig, and PP, and with only Luca Todesco coming up with a couple of jailbreaks, the situation got a little desperate for a while. Todesco himself has stepped back from public iOS security research work so it looks like Keen jailbreak team has come along at the right time.
