Why you think that nod32 and avg are worse ? Many users are satisfied with nod32 😮

    • Gourav Sharma
      June 2, 2009 at 3:16 pm

Rahul i think you are the worse reviewer of Nod32 and first
ever person in my life who have internet knowledge but still
had bad reviews about ESET AV products ??

Buddy Dont reply on your personal unexperienced Review, explore
the web and find out reviews of Real techies then review here,

1 year back when i started my forum , I always suggested my forum
Members to use Nod32 but everybody suspected on my review, But at present all techies [ More than 50 ] who were using nortron, kaspersky, macfee etc. switched to Eset and its there first AV choice.

Eset is simply best yet low on resources AV.

One mistake Nod is in top antivirus list. and ranked 5th. i wrote it wrong. so, sorry.

Dude i not newbie in antivirus field i used more than 50 antivirus. and few times i crased my windows.

Nod works good but it is not better than Kaspersky and Bitdefender. But kaspky is silent and simply best. i gave a link of top review site. if you still dont agree than be happy with Nod i am happy with Kaspky.

kasperky is cheap in india only 450bucks and three user keys.

Avg, norton, panda, mcafee, and zone alarm are not in top ten list. Check here.

Norton and Macfee lost their charm.

Sorry one correction nod ranked 5th.

nod is good but not better than kaspersky. you get kaspersky for 450 bucks in india three user keys.
        kaspersky is silent and powerful.

i am not newbie in field of antivirus. i used all of them except zone alarm. and many more.

norton, macfee, panda, and zone alarm not in top ten.source…

i have tried eset nod32 before (i think a year ago), but there was a time it happened that i suspected my computer was infected and nod 32 didn’t able to detect it. i tried another antivirus (avg) and it did able to detect sucessfully 2 viruses that keeps my computer works slow. minus grade for eset there. another thing is not all people are techies or knowledgeables, eset nod 32’s interface gives another minus score. anyway i’m using avast home right now and so far i got no problem and a “techie friend” appreciated its performance.;p plus points to all of you guys..:)

PS: all of them are good..but noone knows when their security will be successfully break-in by some “witties”.

      Hi Rahul,

Top ten reviews review products from a commercial angle, and not from the technological aspects. An Antivirus is only good as its engines ability to detect all viruses, even “in the wild”. Bitdefender is one of those that conform to 100% virus detection, so in my opinion, it is the best…

    Kaspersky definitely the best ever.

but personally, I think AVG should be out of the list. I hate it. some time ago, AVG let a lot of viruses into my PC. It detects the viruses but does not get rid of it. I never trust it again after that.

I used many anti-virus applications. I was satisfied with Kaspersky, Luke, Norton and Panda. I would not recommend avast because this program requirements are far behind its reliability. It is standard, common program, but eats so much memory… Anyway in every single anti-virus program the key to success is daily updated list of possible threats. Every modern program has that included and I think that they all are good.

    October 3, 2009 at 12:32 am

OF course, there will be a lot of controversy surrounding every antivirus review lineup on the internet. Even big media confuse each other with the definition of the best antivirus or such as their result will be different one and another. For me, I just concentrate on which provides more features, less on system resource, has at least some certifications on independent organizations, less expensive, and I am ready.

I don’t agree with you. Quick heal only takes about 1 minute after windows have logged in. You do not do anything in this 1 minute, and it will not slow down your PC. I had only 128 mb of RAM and still it did not slow down my PC!

use Quick heal after that you will forget all the antivirus this purly indian antivirus

Totally Agree with you. Quickheal is One of the Best A.V I have Used. Support is also Excellent.

    • Preetam
      May 20, 2010 at 4:42 pm

You are right. Quick Heal’s “DNAScan” technology prevents new viruses even if Quick Heal is not up to date. So, it is ahead than the antivirus based on Heuristics.
The Best Antivirus I have seen are ESET Smart Security and Quick Heal Internet Security (Total Security is also Superb). I currently use Avast 5 free edition, and had no problems so far.

Nod32 fails to protect pc from suspicious files like fejerko.exe, svch0st.exe, jeefo.exe and some [16 bit worms]. and most important it doesn’t scan malwares, spy wares, some trojen 16 bit application [worms].

    Use Kespersky.

I was wondering that Avast 9.0 is not in the list. It is also a reliable anti virus. The good thing is it is light weight, no additional pop ups and uses very few system resources and mainly works in the system back end. I have found it better than AVG, however, it is not free for commercial use.

Actually this is not a good list.
    First: AVG
    Second: Avast
Next: Microsoft security essentials(which is better than above because it doesnt slow down the pc)

Rest all (norton,MC Afee, Kaspersky are bullshit)

Absolutely correct, AVAST is far better than many i the above list.

And AVG and Avast should be there on top of the list.
