TricksDaddy Gets Responsive Web Design

TricksDaddy is now live with responsive web design. You can now browse articles published here on any device as the new design is compatible with all devices like iPhone, iPad, laptop, desktop, smartphones etc. The design fits itself according to screen resolution.

In the past, I have tried few WordPress plugins to get a mobile friendly version of my site but I’m not quite satisfied with any of those plugins. I don’t like the idea to get a separate URL for mobile sites like m.yoursite.com. Its better to make changes to the code of current theme which adapts itself according to screen resolution of the device.

Earlier, the design of my site was not responsive on any resolution and it just appears same on all devices. It was bit difficult for mobile users to read articles on lower resolutions.  But now the responsive web design has made this site more readable even on mobile devices.

Other than responsive web design, I have also made few minor changes to header part of the site. The overall length of the header is reduced and menu of pages from header is removed. The pages like about and contact can now be accessed from footer only. I have also changed the fonts of the site. The main focus was on content.

If you are on a desktop or a laptop, try resizing your browser window (reduce the width of browser window) and see how the content of the site adapt itself according to size of the window. You will notice that on lower resolution the sidebar just disappears and on even more lower resolution, the search bar comes below the logo.

Your suggestions and feedback for the new design would be much appreciated. You can suggest new changes or improvements in the comments.

PS: I provide WordPress theme development services. You can hire me to get your blog redesigned or to make your blog design responsive.

Responsive design is today’s demand. That’s why TricksDaddy is converted into responsive design.

Thanks for liking my theme 😉

Very nice. I run a Thesis blog where I’ve built quite a few custom pages that have complicated my switch to responsive design. I’m about to attack it, though.

A couple of days ago, I spent hours making my site responsive but I was unsure if I had done a good job or not. It’s really comforting to see you do away with the sidebar altogether because it was really a pain in the behind for me! That makes things much easier.

    Good stuff.
