Telecom operator Airtel is planning to launch Virtual Phones which will allow users to use as many as 10 different numbers on a single phone.
This technology is developed by Bharti-owned Comviva Technologies. The application will be embedded within the sim card and it is expected to launch within two months.
Comviva, in co-operation with South African operator MTN, already has the service in South Africa. Airtel will be the first to launch this service in India as no other operator in India has a similar technology.
